“Let’s Grow Together So We Can Bloom Together” 🌸🌼🩷 Preble Shawnee Hope Squads led lunch activities today to promote mental growth and celebrate World Teen Mental Wellness Day. World Teen Mental Wellness Day is observed across the globe on March 2nd every year. It was established to raise awareness, decrease stigma and spark very important conversations around the topic of mental well-being. Thank you to the Joe Burrow Foundation, bi3 and Interact for Health for funding this opportunity for our students!

Ms. Lanich's kindergarteners might be better known as budding architects. 👷‍♂️👷‍♀️ During choice time, several students used blocks to create patterns and measure objects and themselves. Some students chose to solve addition problems on whiteboards, while another group built a tower with cups.

Mr. Griffin's CBI Class, Mr. Maddox's Welding Class and Mrs. Sarber's Mechanical Principles Class took a field trip to Hobart Institute of Welding in Troy! We learned how a trade school operates, got to see pipeline welding instruction in action, and instructors testing the quality of student's welds! We also learned the history of Hobart welders and the outlook for a career in welding. Special thanks to Hobart Institute of Welding for the awesome tour and for providing lunch!

Mrs. Julie Herrmann’s 2nd graders split into five groups to research different breeds of penguins and presented their findings on these posters. The five penguin breeds researched were emperor, macaroni, adélie, little, and gentoo. The students measured their drawings to ensure that the penguins were depicted in their correct life sizes. Great job, students!

Mrs. Reed’s 1st grade class enjoyed their well-deserved popsicles for accomplishing their goal of 8 whole-class brownie points. Brownie points are earned when the whole class gets a compliment from other teachers for on-target behavior in the hallway, lunch room, and at specials. Way to go, first graders!
