By zooming in and focusing on the details, students created bold, beautiful close-up flower paintings that truly capture the power of observation and creativity. We are so proud of their hard work and artistic growth—these pieces turned out amazing!

Since World Down Syndrome Day (3-21) falls on a Saturday this year, our preschoolers and staff celebrated a little early by rocking our socks today! 🧦
Our classrooms were filled with bright, mismatched socks as we showed our love and support for our students who are truly Down Right Amazing. It was a fun and meaningful way to celebrate inclusion, kindness, and the unique strengths that make each of our students so special. 💙
At Preble Shawnee, we are so proud to create a community where every child is valued, supported, and celebrated for who they are. 💙
We invite everyone to join us this Saturday, March 21st, by Rocking Your Socks to help raise awareness and celebrate individuals with Down syndrome!
Together, we can spread acceptance, inclusion, and lots of love—because our differences make us stronger! ✨

On behalf of Preble Shawnee School District, we extend our sincere gratitude to the McCullough-Hyde Foundation for your generous $2,500 donation in support of the Inclusive Playground Project at Preble Shawnee ELC.
Your support helps move us closer to creating a playground where all children—regardless of ability—can learn, play, and grow together. An inclusive playground provides opportunities for children of all physical, sensory, and developmental abilities to interact, build friendships, and experience the joy of play in a welcoming environment.
Because of partners like the McCullough-Hyde Foundation, we are able to continue building a space that promotes inclusion, accessibility, and community for our youngest learners. Your investment in this project will have a lasting impact on our students and families for years to come.
Thank you for helping us make this vision a reality and for supporting the children of the Preble Shawnee community.
