Students at PSE enjoyed an engaging and educational puppet show presented by MADCAP Productions, featuring a lively retelling of Aesop’s Fables. The performance brought classic moral stories to life through creative puppetry, humor, and interactive storytelling, leaving students both entertained and inspired.

💙💛 Celebrating Our Down Right Amazing Students! 💛💙

Since World Down Syndrome Day (3-21) falls on a Saturday this year, our preschoolers and staff celebrated a little early by rocking our socks today! 🧦

Our classrooms were filled with bright, mismatched socks as we showed our love and support for our students who are truly Down Right Amazing. It was a fun and meaningful way to celebrate inclusion, kindness, and the unique strengths that make each of our students so special. 💙

At Preble Shawnee, we are so proud to create a community where every child is valued, supported, and celebrated for who they are. 💙

We invite everyone to join us this Saturday, March 21st, by Rocking Your Socks to help raise awareness and celebrate individuals with Down syndrome!

Together, we can spread acceptance, inclusion, and lots of love—because our differences make us stronger! ✨

On behalf of Preble Shawnee School District, we extend our sincere gratitude to the McCullough-Hyde Foundation for your generous $2,500 donation in support of the Inclusive Playground Project at Preble Shawnee ELC.

Your support helps move us closer to creating a playground where all children—regardless of ability—can learn, play, and grow together. An inclusive playground provides opportunities for children of all physical, sensory, and developmental abilities to interact, build friendships, and experience the joy of play in a welcoming environment.

Because of partners like the McCullough-Hyde Foundation, we are able to continue building a space that promotes inclusion, accessibility, and community for our youngest learners. Your investment in this project will have a lasting impact on our students and families for years to come.

Thank you for helping us make this vision a reality and for supporting the children of the Preble Shawnee community.

Come and join us Saturday for the Cougars vs. Generals game at TVS! Come support some of our students and a great cause. March is Developmental Disabilities Awareness Month, a time dedicated to raising awareness about the talents, abilities, and contributions of individuals with developmental disabilities. It is also an opportunity for communities to come together to promote inclusion, understanding, and opportunities for everyone to participate fully in school, work, and community life. Events like this game help highlight the importance of inclusion and give our students the chance to be recognized and celebrated. We would love to see our community come out to cheer on the teams and support our students. Please see the attached flyer below more details. We hope you can join us!

The preschoolers of Preble Shawnee had an exciting first family field trip to the United States Postal Service in Camden! A huge thank you to Ms. Jenn for giving us a behind-the-scenes tour of the post office. Students got to see the mail delivery truck up close, meet our local mailman Mr. Dave, practice sorting mail, and even “buy” a stamp using their own money. The best part? Each student mailed a special letter and soon they’ll be receiving their very own mail at home! We can’t wait to hear how excited they are when it arrives 📬✨ Thank you to all of our families who joined us and helped make our first field trip such a success!
