Please join Preble Shawnee in thanking our Superhero Board of Education for their service. January is School Board Recognition Month, and we are celebrating all month long. Help us thank these education leaders for preparing today’s students to become tomorrow’s leaders. As part of School Board Recognition Month, we are highlighting our superhero school board members for their commitment to our students and community. Thank you to the dedicated leaders who serve on our local school board! They play a crucial role in the education of our children. Preble Shawnee students benefit every day from the leadership and vision of our school board. School board members devote hours of their time each week to provide leadership for our school district. Thank you to our Superhero Board of Education Members: Julie Singleton, Jeff Wood, Lisa Tuttle-Huff, Nick Duskey, and David Akers.

🌌🚀This past week, the 5th graders presented their space projects on a topic of their choice, making decisions on how to present it and using visual aids to enhance their project. Great job, kids😁

Mrs. Sarber's Mechanical Principles class participated in an industry tour of Parker Hannifin! We couldn't take pictures inside the factory, but our students put on reflective vests, safety glasses, and hearing protection for the tour of the working factory! We learned how hydraulic fittings are produced using both employees and robots at the Eaton location. We also talked with an engineer about his role in the factory! As part of this class, students have the opportunity to earn a manufacturing credential. Special thanks to Parker Hannifin for the tour and Mr. Neihaus for setting up the tour!

Second grade has been learning about beavers, habitats, and how they play an important role in the ecosystem. Students walked through each classroom yesterday like a museum to see their peers beaver habitats they built and created! 🦫
