🎨❤️🎨Students from Miss.Orona's art class competed against all the county schools and won several awards last week in the Preble County art show. Congratulations to every student on this wonderful achievement. A big shoutout to Riley Jones for winning Best Of the Show for her piece of art titled Starry Night. A note from Miss. Orona. "I can't begin to explain how proud I am of every student who entered a piece of work into this year's art show. All of these wonderful students have worked so hard in class to complete multiple different projects, ranging in category. I have not been their teacher for the entire school year, but in the short time i've known them, each one of them have made a true impact on my life as I have watched them grow and show their true artistic abilities through their work. Please take a minute to congratulate the students listed at the bottom of this post. Last week, our students attended the Preble County Art Show. Each of the County schools were able to submit 35 pieces of art for judging. PSHS received 15 awards out of the 35 pieces of art submitted.  🍕🐒 Field trip day with Ms. Schooley's class! They had a blast exploring Jungle Jim's and enjoying some delicious pizza together. What a fun way to learn and make memories with awesome classmates! 🌟

3rd grader Wyatt G. has been taking guitar lessons for a year and performed three songs for his classmates today! 🎸🎶 Great job, Wyatt!

🌍🎨 Our elementary students rocked Earth Day with various research projects! They explored environmental topics, planted flowers, and created artwork to celebrate their learning.

🎶 Two more 4th graders have achieved the recorder black belt. This is awarded to students who independently learn 9 songs with correct tone, technique, pitches, and rhythms. Congratulations, Lexie and Cherish! 🪈

Kirstin Fallang, a high school staff member, noticed this young man encouraging our Boys HS Basketball team as they had lost in the Final Four game last month. Please read her thoughts below. I hope we never fail to acknowledge good character when we see it!! Thank you Arrow Nation. Ms. Fallang writes as follows: This Arrow student caught my eye at the end of our final basketball tournament game. He waited by the railing and extended his hand to every single player as they walked off the court. What stood out most to me, though, was what he said to each player: "Way to fight!" He could have said the usual, "Good game," and it still would have been meaningful, but "Way to fight!" showed his acknowledgment of the countless hours these guys spent fighting at practice and fighting on the court. Making it to the Final Four does not happen by chance. It is earned through diligence and commitment. While I know our young fan would have loved to win that game, his was not a look of disappointment, but of pride. Way to fight, Arrows, way to fight!

We wear blue in April! 💙 It's incredible to see the Preble Shawnee community coming together to celebrate Autism Acceptance Month. Let's continue spreading love, understanding, and acceptance every single day! 🌟

The recent mock accident event served as a powerful reminder of the dangers of drinking and driving and distracted driving. Let's all make a commitment to making smart decisions behind the wheel and prioritizing our safety and the safety of others.
