Kirstin Fallang, a high school staff member, noticed this young man encouraging our Boys HS Basketball team as they had lost in the Final Four game last month. Please read her thoughts below. I hope we never fail to acknowledge good character when we see it!! Thank you Arrow Nation.
Ms. Fallang writes as follows:
This Arrow student caught my eye at the end of our final basketball tournament game. He waited by the railing and extended his hand to every single player as they walked off the court. What stood out most to me, though, was what he said to each player: "Way to fight!" He could have said the usual, "Good game," and it still would have been meaningful, but "Way to fight!" showed his acknowledgment of the countless hours these guys spent fighting at practice and fighting on the court. Making it to the Final Four does not happen by chance. It is earned through diligence and commitment.
While I know our young fan would have loved to win that game, his was not a look of disappointment, but of pride. Way to fight, Arrows, way to fight!

🚦🚗 As students at Preble Shawnee High School gear up for prom season, it's important to keep in mind the importance of driving safely. The recent mock accident event served as a powerful reminder of the dangers of drinking and driving and distracted driving. Let's all make a commitment to making smart decisions behind the wheel and prioritizing our safety and the safety of others.
Thank you to our community first responders and everyone who participated in this important event. 🚗🚦
A special Thank You to Premier Health CareFlight and Mobile Services for facilitating this event and the dedication you have to our community.

Yesterday, our personalized learning teams finished their journey of learning with Knowledgeworks. We will continue this journey by bringing this new knowledge back to all teachers at PS.

After a full morning of State Testing, Ms. Cottingim took a few of her students for a short walk on the cross country trail.
It was beautiful and refreshing.

🌟Elementary Staff Spotlight🌟 Lori Cottingim, RN, MS, LSN School Nurse "Being a school nurse at Preble Shawnee is a rewarding way for me to support the health and wellness of our community, including students, staff, area residents, my family, and my friends. In the fall of 1982, I participated in the groundbreaking ceremony for our Preble Shawnee Middle School/High School building (pictured below). It was an exciting time for me, filled with pride for the future. On that day, I never imagined that 42 years later I would be here, proudly wearing the school's colors." Thank you, Nurse Lori!

These kindergarteners had fun learning about 3D shapes by using Play-Doh and toothpicks 😀

💯 Congratulations to Jack for earning a 100% fluency score on an assessment of addition and subtraction for all factors 0-10 👏🏻
