HOPE Week at Preble Shawnee
Monday kicked off Preble Shawnee Hope Squad’s Hope Week! This week is meant to promote positivity within the school, enhance mental health awareness, and further suicide prevention. The school was decorated to reflect this year’s theme: Be the Light. The dress theme today was “Don’t Be Mean, Wear Green”. During lunch, students and staff were encouraged to “Be the I in KIND”. We look forward to what’s in store for the rest of the week!





 
COVID Vaccine Available
The Pfizer vaccine is being given by the Preble County Health Department on Thursday, May 6th from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. This vaccination is open to our students age 16 and over.  Sign up at vaccinatepreble.com or call the health department at 937-472-0087, option 1 for help with scheduling.  You may also contact District Nurse Lori Cottingim if you have any questions or need help:  937-336-1155.
 
Internet Connectivity an Issue? Speak Up!
 
Students Visit Spenga Fitness Studio
Mr. Schmidt's Sport Science/Weight training class took a field trip to the Spenga Fitness studio in West Chester. The Spenga workout includes 20 minutes of Spin, 20 minutes of strength training and 20 minutes of Yoga.  This trip was a culmination on the unit that looked into the physical benefits of HIIT training on the body. The workout also provided a unique experience to the students that differs from the traditional dumbell and barbell workout.

Arrow Football Golf Outing
The Arrow Football Program is having a golf scramble fundraiser on May 23rd at 1:30pm at Liberty Country Club.  Teams of 4 golfers.  

Cost is $50 per person which includes 18 holes and a cart.  

Prizes will be awarded to the winning team. 

Please use the google form link below to register.  

Any individual wanting to participate but doesn't have a team can contact Dave Maddox at [email protected] and he will find a team for you.

We are also looking for individuals or businesses to sponsor holes for $50.  

The form below can be used to register as a hole sponsor as well.   

 
2021-22 Open Enrollment Applications
The window to apply for Open Enrollment to Preble Shawnee Schools for the 2021-22 school year opens April 15th. The deadline is May 31st.
